Conférence SHAAPT : Thouars fait son cirque !

From the end of the 19th century, traveling circuses were increasingly present in the provinces of France. This lecture will recount the evolution of the circus arts through the various troupes that performed in Thouars. Pinder, Rancy, Bouglione, Amar and many others will invite you to enter the ring, not forgetting Buffalo Bill, whose visit to our region has long been remembered.
Philippe CHAUVEAU, member of the Société d'Histoire, d'Archéologie et des Arts du Pays Thouarsais, will host this conference.
