Église Saint Vincent Exireuil

  • église Exireuil

Parish church

The first church was a few dozen metres from the present one. It was a Romanesque building adjoining the presbytery (which was to become the town hall), which was undermined by the Protestants and then completely demolished in 1873.

All that remains is the seigneurial chapel of Vairé (a castle located in the commune): two low bays with four large ribbed vaults and keystones with coats of arms; today it is used for parish meetings (catechism).

The present church was built on the site of the old cemetery between 1869 and 1873. It was opened for worship in 1873.
