The Center of Contemporary Photographic Art was established in 2013 in Villa Pérochon, the family home of writer Ernest Pérochon, 1st Goncourt Prize of Deux-Sèvres. It is one of the 6 French photographic art centers designated by the Ministry of Culture in 2011 and the only one in the Great West, from Bordeaux to Nantes and from La Rochelle to Limoges. Its artistic direction is entrusted to "For Now", organizer of the "Encounters of young international photography", key of the annual program of the recognized association of general interest in 2007. The CACP is composed of a garden, a gallery of 120 m2 offering 100 m. linear hanging (permanent place of creation and exhibition) and a residence of artists.

"Heritage Ribbon" in 2015 and "contemporary art centre of national interest" in 2018.
